Receiving quite a few reports of a Japanese player confirming a cross for Blood Peppers. It appears the following cross will result in a Blood Pepper seed:
Chive x Glazenut
There's a good graphic floating around posted by ryan20340 on reddit showing the most optimal way to obtain the Blood Peppers starting from scratch. I've linked it below.
Here is an English screenshot of obtaining Blood Peppers:
I have added quite a few new crosses using the new seeds. Best way to see all of them would be to go to each new seed's page and use the bottom section (Used in Other Crosses). Coming across quite a few more efficient crosses using the new seeds so check the more expensive seeds (Glazenut, Apricot, Royal Kukuru) for updated crosses
The Dalamud Popoto Set > Pearl Sprout cross to obtain Chives has been confirmed so the Dalamud's are in high demand right now. Luckily there's some very efficient crosses that can be used to obtain them. Don't forget you can use Shroud soil for higher quantity seed yield (at the cost of cross chance of course).
Still awaiting Blood Pepper cross. Also heard some rumors of them being obtained through retainer Botany Exploration XIX and/or through Vanu Vanu beast tribe vendor. I have yet to hear anything confirming either of these.
I've received quite a few reports of a Chive cross so I've added it to the database.
Dalamud Popoto Set <--> Pearl Sprout
Appears to be a two-way cross and I would assume the Chives are used in crossing for the Blood Pepper.
I apologize for the delay in getting more confirmed crosses online. The reason being that it's been confirmed that it's possible to get up to three different results from crossing only two seeds. It was previously thought only two different seeds could be obtained from a cross, but I've received numerous reports of three different seeds being obtained.
So with that information I had to update the database a bit to handle a second alternative cross making sure I didn't break anything in the process! It seems everything is working properly and I was able to add some new crosses. You can find a list in the Recently Added Crosses section and also on Facebook.
Still no word on either Blood Peppers or Chives
I'm slowly sifting through the data of crosses that have been submitted over the past few days. I have yet to see a result for Blood Pepper or Chives. However, I've been able to confirm a couple crosses.
Coerthan Tea and Pearl Sprouts will cross to produce Azeyma Rose or La Noscean Leek. Old World Figs and Pearl Sprouts will cross to produce Dalamud Popoto Set or Royal Kukuru.
I have some mixed data when crossing Coerthan Tea and Old World Figs. In the past it's been accepted that a cross can have up to two cross results. Assuming this is still true I will need more info crossing Tea and Figs. I'm currently showing them crossing to produce Dalamud Popoto Sets, Star Anise and Royal Kukuru's. So I'm not sure which of these three is correct...or maybe even they all are! Will need more data to confirm.
Edit: I have added the new seeds to the database. It looks like the Blood Pepper and Chive seeds can only be obtained through crossbreeding. The other three can be harvested at their respective locations.
Translations for the new seeds have also been added. Still need to work on the localization for the search box, give me some time!
I've been able to find the new seeds that are available for gardening. Working on getting all the necessary data on them before adding them to the database. The new seeds are:
Blood Pepper Seeds
Old World Fig Seeds
Chive Seeds
Pearl Sprout Seeds
Coerthan Tea Seeds
Keep in mind that these are new seeds. A few of the items are already available in their plant form but now have seeds to go along with them
The preliminary patch notes for 3.1 are now available.
There is one thing of note:
[2.0][3.0] New items can be grown via gardening.
This is great news for us gardeners! I will be reviewing recently submitted crosses and preparing for the changes so we can the new crosses figured out!
I have updated the submit cross form to include dropdown options when selecting seeds/plants for submission. I also archived the old results into their own tab and have started a new one for 3.0 crosses
